Each dress is matched with the maker best suited to its fabric, construction, fit, and design. Technology helps with design exploration, measurements, garment briefs, and production communication — but the dress itself is sewn, fitted, and finished by a person.

Choose the details
MadeApt helps clarify the dress before it reaches the maker — neckline, sleeve, hemline, waist placement, skirt shape, fabric, lining, fit notes, measurements, and construction. If something isn’t realistic to sew, we suggest the closest version that can be made beautifully.
Step 03
Confirm your measurements
We guide you through taking your measurements with a soft measuring tape. Your dress is made to your measurements, not a standard size, and they can be securely stored to make future orders easier.
Step 04
Match with the right maker
Once the brief is ready, your custom dress is matched with a tailor or artisan in the MadeApt network — based on the dress style, fabric, structure, complexity, and production needs.
Step 05
Your dress is made to order
Your maker cuts, sews, finishes, and prepares your dress from your measurements and brief. This is where it becomes real: fabric, seams, fitting logic, finishing, pressing, and human craft.
Step 06
Your dress is shipped to you
Once complete, your dress is prepared and shipped with tracked delivery. Most orders take approximately 4 weeks: around 2 weeks to make your garment and another 2 weeks for shipping. More complex designs may take longer. We’ll confirm your estimated timeline when we quote your piece. If you need it for a particular date, let us know when you enquire.
