can you get the dress lucia wears in gta 6 made? yes — here’s how

By Nina Karisik, founder of MadeAptPublished October 2026

The short answer

Yes. Lucia’s pink cocktail dress and her gold sequin mini are both simple enough to be drafted fresh to your measurements. Dresses start from $229 USD (see the cost guide), take about four weeks including shipping, and if you lock a design by Thursday 22 October it lands before the game does on 19 November 2026.

No payment now. A tailor reviews the reference, you get a quote, then you decide.

the “which dress?” scene

If you watched the Extended Look, you know the moment. Lucia stands in her hot-pink apartment holding up options, asking Jason which dress she should wear for cocktails at Effluvia, the rooftop bar. He picks. She leaves in a tight pink cocktail dress, they get into a red convertible, and the whole internet started asking the same question Jason was asked.

It’s the first time a GTA protagonist has had a wardrobe moment, and it’s a very normal one: a woman getting dressed to go out, asking someone to choose. Which is exactly what a made-to-measure order looks like, minus the stripper pole.

So: yes, that dress can be made. Here’s what it actually is, and what the gold one is, in fabric terms.

Look one

the pink cocktail dress (extended look)

What’s on screen: a fitted, short, hot-pink dress. A halter with straps that cross at the neck, a small keyhole below them, no visible fastenings, body-skimming all the way down. In a game, that’s a mesh and a texture. In real life, that’s three decisions.

Fabric. The obvious choice is a stretch satin. It gives the shine the game renders and moves with you. If you want it less “going out, 2 a.m.” and more “cocktail hour”, a crepe in the same pink gives the same silhouette with a matte surface and a little more structure. Both are fully lined.

Fit. “Tight” in a game means the dress is painted onto the model. On a body it means a close fit through the bust and waist with enough ease at the hip to sit down. Your tailor will draft that from your measurements, not from a size chart, and leave extra fabric in the seams so it can be let out later.

Fastening. The game doesn’t show one. A real dress needs one. An invisible zip at the centre back keeps the clean lines the scene has, and the halter straps can tie or hook at the nape, whichever you prefer.

A short fitted dress in stretch satin or crepe is at the simpler end of what we make, which is why the price starts where it does.

Look two

the gold sequin mini (trailer one)

This is the Lucia look that launched a thousand cosplays: the shimmering gold sequin mini dress from the December 2023 trailer, worn with big gold hoops and her boxing-glove necklace.

The gold sequin mini from the first trailer: thin straps, a straight neckline, and sequins on a mesh base that catch the sunset. Reference still, not a MadeApt product photo.

Sequins change the job. The sequin fabric itself is sequins stitched onto a mesh or tulle base, so the dress has to be fully lined, the seams have to be handled carefully so you don’t end up with a scratchy inside, and the hem is usually finished differently to a plain fabric. It also weighs more than you expect.

What that means for you: a sequin mini costs more than the pink dress for the same silhouette, because there’s more work in every seam. It’s still well within what we make, and it’s the one most people ask about. If you want the sparkle without the full sequin price, a gold lamé or a metallic satin gets you most of the effect at close to the plain-dress cost. Ask your tailor which one; the quote will show both.

what the game gets wrong (and what we fix)

Like every screenshot, render and AI image we see, game outfits skip the parts that make clothes work:

  • No seams. The pink dress has none. A real one has at least two side seams and a centre back. We put them where they’re least visible.
  • No fastenings. Zips, hooks and buttons don’t exist in Vice City. They do here.
  • No weight. Sequins hang and satin slips. Your tailor picks the fabric for how it behaves, not just how it looks.
  • No body. Lucia’s dress fits Lucia’s model. Yours fits you, and if you’ve looked at a size chart lately you know those two things aren’t the same.

Every design gets a free tailor review before you pay. If something in your reference won’t work, you’ll hear it then, with the fix. The longer version of those checks is in how to get a dress made from a movie or TV show.

how to order it

  1. Upload a reference. A screenshot from the trailer, a still from the Extended Look, a fan edit: any clear image of the look you want. The picture guide covers what makes a good reference.
  2. Choose or adjust. Keep it faithful, or change the length, neckline or colour. Lucia’s pink in a deep green is still a great dress.
  3. Add your measurements. Guided, at home, no appointment.
  4. Get a quote. A tailor reviews the design and you see the price before paying anything.
  5. Four weeks later, it’s on your doorstep. Made, checked at every gate, shipped.

timing: launch night, not halloween

GTA 6 releases on 19 November 2026. Making takes about two weeks and shipping takes the rest, so a design locked by 22 October arrives in time. After that, it’s tight, and we’d rather tell you now than after you’ve paid. Those are estimates we confirm when we quote your piece, not guaranteed dates.

Halloween is 31 October. That’s two and a half weeks away, and we won’t pretend a made-to-measure dress fits in that window. If you need Lucia for Halloween, the pink crop top and camo pants from the first trailer are a sourcing job, not a sewing one. The dresses are for launch night and everything after.

what it costs

A short, fitted dress in stretch satin or crepe sits at the simpler end of our pricing. Sequins add fabric cost and handwork. The US dresses page has the current 2026 ranges and what moves a quote; the short version is that silhouette and colour barely change the price, and surface detail does.

Dresses start from $229 USD, and a lined cocktail mini sits a little above that starting point.
