MadeApt is a Perth-founded custom clothing platform and global tailoring collective. We connect customers with skilled tailors, artisans, and workshops across our international maker network to create made-to-measure garments designed around real bodies, real lives, and real ideas.

Most fashion hides the person who made your clothes. We work with tailors and artisans across our global network, and each garment is matched with the maker best suited to its fabric, construction, fit, and design. This is not anonymous mass production — it is clothing made through a connected network of skilled people.
The process is digital. The craft is human.
MadeApt began in Perth, Western Australia, with a simple idea: clothing should be made around the person wearing it. From Perth, we are building a global tailoring collective that connects customers with skilled makers across continents.
A garment might begin as an idea in Australia, become a tailor-ready brief through the MadeApt studio, be sewn by a maker in Sarajevo, Jaipur, Hanoi, or Hoi An, and arrive as a piece made for one person’s body.

Begin with a MadeApt design, a community-shared garment, a reference image, a moodboard, a sketch, a prompt, or a garment idea. You don’t need to know tailoring terminology.

Turn the idea into a garment brief
MadeApt helps translate your idea into a clear brief — fabric, silhouette, fit notes, measurements, seams, proportions, construction, and finishing — so the maker understands exactly what needs to be made.

Match the garment with the right maker
Once the brief is ready, the garment is matched with a tailor or artisan in the network. The match depends on the type of garment, fabric, structure, complexity, and production needs.

Made to your measurements
Your piece is cut and sewn based on your measurements rather than standard sizing, so the garment is made closer to your proportions and fit preferences.

Prepared and shipped
Once complete, the garment is prepared for delivery and shipped with tracking. Most garments take 2–3 weeks from the time the tailor accepts the order; shipping time depends on your location.

Tailoring is not just about making clothing smaller or larger. A tailor considers proportion, balance, movement, structure, comfort, and how the garment will sit when worn.
The same dress can behave differently on different bodies, and the same fabric can change dramatically depending on cut and construction. Standard sizing cannot fully understand that. A skilled maker can.
We don’t reduce you to a size chart.
