Yes. Many MadeApt designs can be personalized before they are made. Depending on the garment, you may be able to change the fabric, colour, sleeve length, neckline, hemline, proportions, fit, or styling details. You can also clone community designs and make your own version.

Do I need to know fashion terminology?

No. You do not need to know fashion terminology to use MadeApt. You can describe what you want in plain language. We help translate your idea into the kind of clear garment brief a tailor needs to make it real.

Is MadeApt the same as print-on-demand?

No. MadeApt is not standard print-on-demand. Print-on-demand usually means adding artwork or text to existing blank garments. MadeApt is different: we help create made-to-measure clothing where the shape, fabric, cut, fit, and construction can be designed or personalized before the garment is sewn.

No. MadeApt is built for bodies that do not fit neatly into standard size charts. Petite, tall, curvy, fuller-busted, broad-shouldered, between sizes, post-partum, post-menopausal, asymmetrical, or simply tired of guessing between sizes — you do not need to be standard to be dressed well. We measure you, not a size chart.

If your garment does not fit right, tell us within 10 days of receiving it. Because each MadeApt piece is individually made, we review fit concerns case by case and work with you to find the best path forward. If something is genuinely wrong with how the garment was made, we will help make it right.

MadeApt garments are sewn by real tailors and artisans, not anonymous mass production. We work directly with tailors and workshops in our network. Wherever possible, you will see who is making your piece, including their name, location, and progress updates.

Where possible, we use named mills, known suppliers, and fabrics with a clear origin. We avoid mystery fabrics and disposable materials. Some garments may also offer swatches before you commit.

Most MadeApt garments take 2–3 weeks from the time your tailor accepts the order. Shipping time is additional. International shipping usually takes 3–6 business days with DHL Express. Inside Australia, Australia Post Express usually takes 1–3 business days. Each product page gives the clearest current timing for that piece.

Yes. MadeApt ships internationally with tracked delivery. For many international orders, we use DHL Express. Inside Australia, we use Australia Post Express. Shipping is included on orders over $350.

Can I return custom-made clothing?

Custom-made and made-to-measure garments are not returnable in the same way as off-the-rack clothing because they are made specifically for your measurements and brief. However, if something is genuinely wrong with how we made your garment, we will review it with you and work out the right solution. As a general rule, natural fibres prefer gentle care: cold washing or hand washing where appropriate, no tumble drying, and careful hanging or drying flat depending on the garment.
