Hi, I'm Nina, founder of MadeApt.
That's me in the photo speaking at an event about why fast fashion has made clothing feel so disposable, anonymous, and disconnected from the people who make it while wearing one of our first MadeApt pieces, made by Enisa in Bosnia without a single in-person fitting. The print features Yankirri Jukurrpa” by Indigenous Australian artist Ricardo Jampijinpa Gallagher.
I started MadeApt because clothing has become too impersonal. Tailors are harder to access, standard sizing is treated like the default, and people are too often made to feel like their bodies are the problem when clothes don't fit.
MadeApt connects you with skilled seamstresses, tailors, and makers across the world to create clothing made around you. We avoid mass production, generic sizing and anonymous factories and instead focus on people that make our clothes, their craft, and clothes with a story.
